Welcome to our blog site, BetaGrown, created to entertain and provide insight, targeted at individuals who are age 50+. We have divided our site into blogs that fall into three categories: Your Lifestyle, Your Retirement and Your Music.
The Blogs section displays a list of most recent blogs, across all categories, with the most recent ones first.
Your Lifestyle
Your Lifestyle will contain blogs of general interest to people over 50 years of age. This will include information about living a healthy lifestyle, travel, children and more. This is the category that has the broadest possible niche of articles so check in often here.
Your Music
Your Music is something I had to add, given the importance of that topic at any age but we will focus on musical interests of those who are 50 and above. This will include opinions and direct information that will hopefully generate a community and health discussion in the comment sections.
Your Retirement
Your Retirement will have articles specifically designed to help people plan for and optimize their retirement years. We will include information about things related to retirement. This includes the financial and the emotional and mental side of this live transition.
‘Recommendations’ pages
Recommendations pages include a list of products that pertain to some of the blog posts on this site. These pages are accessible from within some of the blog posts and at the bottom right of each page. The products on these pages contain links to various websites that allow our readers to purchase those products. BetaGrown has affiliate agreements with companies that sell these products. Therefore, we will earn a commission if you click a product link and make a purchase on the designated site. There will be no additional charge to our readers when they make a recommended purchase in this manner.
About the Name: BetaGrown
BetaGrown is a name that combines the words “beta” and “grown” that we feel creates a unique and memorable name for our blog and social media company catering to our target audience. The word “beta” is often used to describe a product or service that is in its testing phase, suggesting that the company is always striving to improve and evolve. The word “grown” implies maturity, experience, and wisdom, which are all qualities that our target audience possesses. Overall, the name BetaGrown conveys a sense of innovation, growth, and expertise, which aligns perfectly with the company’s focus on lifestyle, personal growth, fun and finance for the over 50 crowd.

My name is Matt, and I am at the stage of a year or more away from retirement from my full-time career. I have written blogs and white papers for companies that I have worked for in the health care technology space, and I seem to spend a lot of time and energy thinking about retirement and the things people my age thinks about, so I felt that having a blog would be a good natural progression for me. The music side is simply an interest and given that I know many of us who came of age in the 1970’s or 1980’s put music very high on the list of important topics, I wanted to spend some time writing about the music and musicians that have impacted me in my life. I hope you find it an interesting distraction from the more serious topics on this blog page.
